Welcome to the Blog of the Democratic Labour Party. This blog gives you an opportunity to freely express your views and opinions, but one which should be expressed within the highest limits of decorum. It is our intention to highlight issues which affect Barbados and Barbadians and promote the positive attributes of national development as well as those policies and behaviours, which stand in the way of that development.

The Democratic Labour Party is proud of its history to the people of Barbados and as such will continue to do so as long there is a Democratic Labour Party. So welcome; use this blog as often as you can in the interest of democracy.

  • Welcome to the blog world. Now we can kick the butt of the BLP.

  • Dear Original.

We within the the Democratic Labour Party will try to uphold the highest standards of decency, integrity, justice, transparency and accountability. We have already gone on record as supporting the need for Integrity Legislation in Barbados. This is not a knee jerk reaction, but a deeply felt belief that Barbados needs such legislation in order to give the citizens of Barbados an opportunity to feel that its politicians, its moguls of industry, business, commerce and the bureaucracy are acting in their best interest. But you know that the elimination of corruption has to begin within the soul of the individual and mere legislation and its policing cannot stop it. We look forward to a greater level of conversation on these issues with you and the others who advance our democracy by making informed comments.

  • Dear Peter Piper.

The Democratic Labour Party is not out to kick anyone’s butt, but to bring a system of governance to Barbados, which recognises the value and worth of the Barbadian citizen within the highest democratic traditions.

  • Congrats to the DLP on winning back the confidence and trust of the Barbadian public after thirteen years, a very long time. You’ve been tried and tested no doubt about that. You have healed and a new beginning beckons you. My prayers are with you.
