It seems that some Barbadians have been so convinced and brain washed about the need for “Foreign” exchange at all costs being their islands saviour that they are prepared to condone illegal activity
more so than is already going on in the off-shore banking business to bring it in.
Let us examine one example of this and then ask how many other “Democratic” and “Sovereign” Nations of the world would follow the loose conduct as was recently perpetrated on the people of Barbados
by their BLP Government in the case of the Chinese workers fiasco.
It is alleged that Pemberton brought into Barbados the Chinese workers without getting work permits for them. This is clearly an illegal act and contrary to what some might think, posed a clear and present danger and threat to the security of Barbados. It could also have involved health risks to the Barbados populace.
China is clearly positioning itself to become the dominant Industrial and Economic Nation of the world while maintaining its military might and practicing cruel inhumane and unacceptable human rights abuses while at the same time snubbing its nose at environmental protection. China is known to practice Industrial sabotage, the pilfering of copy right patents and a host of other infractions that are unacceptable to Democratic jurisdictions around the world.
What better opportunity does a Nation like China need for spreading its communist philosophies, spy on and get a foothold in other regions of the world than to be embraced as it has been by the Governments of the Caribbean. And where it’s Citizens is allowed into these fragile developing nations and not having to meet the legal requirements dictated by them, but which are applied stringently to other immigrants. And who inflicted this abuse and disrespect for the Constitutional, Sovereign, Security and Democratic pillars of Barbados stability? And Is Pemberton a Bajan?
But what is sad and tragic about this act of treason by one man against Barbados is this. He has convinced Barbadians aided and abetted by his ally the BLP regime that the project the Chinese were
brought in to construct is vital to the economy, people and Nation of Barbados and which is rubbish. The Four Seasons facility will do very little for Barbados, much as is the case with the Hilton Hotel. Names
are just that names they do not guarantee success.
Foreign exchange is no good unless it creates jobs, improves lifestyles for all, boost economic health etc. Over the past ten years all we have seen is the sale of Barbados land assets that has done nothing to improve the standard of living in Barbados for the average Barbadian.
Why is none of these Foreigners and bright local Bajan entrepreneurs not being more original and innovative by developing a viable “export” industry that will employ people and make products that have the capacity to bring in “Foreign” exchange 365 days per year? Have they forgotten the once proud sugar industry that our forefathers developed very successfully and which was responsible for the early
success of Barbados?
Instead the Foreigners and local Bajans are still flogging, a dead horse “tourism”! Look at how many prominent hotels have gone bankrupt in the past ten years. Look at the GEMS fiasco is it not clear that tourism is a fading galaxy in Barbados? Why are investors who claim to be smart putting all of their eggs in one basket when the weave of the basket is showing signs of serious wear? Wake up Barbadians because you are being taken to the cleaners!

These the same bajans that these investors are depriving us Bajans of these jobs, these Bajans will be the same ones that will be hungry and angry with the likes of these same investors and when unrest and hatred starts to manifest itself and social unrest gets hold of society.
Where are they going to turn to for security of their multi million dollar investment ?
Hopefully they will not turn to us Barbadians because if we were not good enough to be hired in the building surely we cannot be good enough for the kitchen, maid, security or for that matter for any other services.
These two maybe running into issues with the overall project and they are now passing the pressures onto us the taxpayers of this island with this hype and nonsense about needing the 600 Chinese workers onsite if not the project will not fly what a load of crap, let me see them move the land and take to St.Lucia or where ever else they can con and buy the Prime Minister.
Should this be the reality maybe they should be forced to restore the area to what it was before they raped it and they should be made to replant the trees that once covered the landscape of Paradise.
Maybe these investor should consider renaming the property ohgodmemakemistake or China Village.
Does this now open the door for Jada, Westcoast construction, Rotherley construction, COW, Moorjani construction et al to feel free to look towards China and India and where ever else cheap labour can be sourced from with the knowledge that work permits will no longer be an issue?
We cannot allow the threat of big money to break the laws of the land and be condoned by no lesser a person than the our PM.
Have we become so hand to mouth that we sell everything we have to these overseas investors ?

You seem to fail to understand that Owing is in bed with these vagabonds how then can he make any waves to rock their boat ?
We have handled this matter badly from the outset, just as was done when the story broke about the Indians that were here illegally they were promtly charged and deported, why in heavens name have Pemberton and Patterson being allowed to ride rough shod over the laws of this land, more amazingly our Prime Minister and Atherley have condoned and encouraged them in this scam.
We have no law and order in this land mainly because the leaders are breaking the laws themselves, with actions such as these no wonder people feel that it ok to be law breakers at every level of society.

These two Patterson and Pemberton are trying to behave like two bullies or two spoilt children, it will happen my way or not happen at all.
Well I tell you what they need to be taught a lesson in humility and manners and that they cannot walk into another mans land and ride rough shod over its people like these have done, coupled with the fact that Owing has been bought by them and their money these two are on the top end of sly corrupt bastards that have created friction both locally and in the UK where they are both from, ask the former partners of Hamptons real estate and see what I mean.
They have riled the population of this island with their callous act of flouting the law and allowing the Chinese to work without a work permit in place, they ought to have been charged and fined and the workers deported as was done with the Indians but no the two scamps get away with no penatly at all because of their personal relationship with Arthur where he permitted them to hire the Chinese, you ever noticed he never said a single word about the issue even as it was creating a storm in the island ?
Why because he has been paid off by them to allow them to do as they like at the expense of us locals.
The total and complete destruction of the terrain at Batts Rock every single tree uprooted and destroyed is an amazing feat aided and abbeted by Owing and TCP department, I would put any money on it had any lowly person applied to destroy one tree there they would have been denied bluntly.
This is where the double standards come to the fore two sets of laws ones for the rich and laws for the poor, sadly many of we Barbadians fall into the poor grouping hence we get the shaft.
These two have scamed Mr CO Willians and Mr Bizzy Williams to the core I wish them well after carrying out this feat actually they not only shafted the Williams brothers they have the gall to use Port St .Charles for docking their luxary 120 ft yacht (that surely the investors have bought for them ) the old people used to god don’t like wicked and wicked they are thats maybe why their yacht virtually sank outside of Port St.Charles on Friday morning !!
I said on this site months ago that their plan was to employ over a thousand persons of which 600 were to be hired from China my words are still true and if you observe well the Chinese will sneek in almost unnoticed to eventually make the 600 as he refers to.
What I need to know is what will Owing do about this crime before it gets out of hand or will he do anything at all ?
Secondly we need to know what is the status of the remaining Chinese that were on location and working and have not been granted work permits have they been deported and never to be allowed to return ?
The Nation is the mouth piece for Owing and company and by extension the mouth piece for Patterson and Pemberton thes guys are con artist of another level and we the locals are being conned in no small way with this lot.
The project is supposely two months behind hand and we are supposed to panic and release work permits nilly willy to pamper them well not if I had voice in it not one single Chinese work permit would get issued for them Bajans all the way, they want to make money out of Bajan soil well help make Bajans stronger in their own homeland and secondly the CARICOM region would be next in line for workers, while Owing talks CMSE he fails to carry out its plan or reasoning.
You have to do things legally and the right way, not by under hand deals with Owing and Pemberton as was clearly done in this case.
Left to me he would have been fined and each one of the illegal workers sent out of the island, we cannot allow two sets of rules to play out in this island, one for the Indians and a different one for the Chinese.
Moreover trust me within the coming weeks you watch out and you will see those Chinese workers numbers grow steadily until they reach the 400 mark remember he first wanted to hire 600 of them.
This corruption must cease and these personal arrangements that Owing undertakes must end, all these overseas investors know the way around him by showing him a US $ or two ( I mean Million ) and all matters are solved, sad but true.
