WHERE ARE THE VOICES OF THE BLP IN THIS FIASCO?

We are seeing in the Nation News where Sir. Roy of the BWU is now facing the results of a treacherous BLP Government who is aiding Pemberton and his Chinese Pagoda project at the expense of employment for local Barbadians.

Sir Roy should have known better than to meet with the BLP Disciples of “Evil” to discuss the insurgence of illegal Chinese workers and to believe what they were telling him. What we do not understand is this. In to-days Nation News Barbadians are told only 40 Chinese have been awarded work permits. What about the rest of them? What is their status?

This situation just shows you how slack this BLP Government is running the business of Barbados and putting the Nations security, health and safety laws in jeopardy to accommodate a “foreigner” who is now screwing Barbadian workers for the public to see and without shame. All of this is being done because of the perceived good a Four Seasons facility will do for Barbados!

The reality of the situation is that this entire project is now mired down in red tape, controversy and probably legal ramifications that might bring it to a complete halt forever. The blame for it must be shouldered by a deficient, incompetent and corrupt BLP regime and the originators of the project who took the law into their own hands and brought illegal Chinese workers into Barbados. Would they or could they have done the same thing was he building the Pagoda in England? I don’t think so!

When are the Barbadian people, and the multitudes of Barbadians who are being disadvantaged by strangers to their island, going to put a stop to it?

How can anyone stand idly by and see 70-75% of two and three generation Barbadians whose ancestors paid the ultimate price to make the culture of the “plantocracy” rich while they lived in slave huts. And now future generations of the slaves are being treated little differently? But what makes the twenty first century exploitation of the average Barbadian more disgraceful is that it is now being done by Foreigners. We have the sad situation of many Barbadians who are living in or close to poverty being accused of being lazy, drunk and limers.
