The Democratic Labour Party is on its way to a historic victory on behalf of the people of Barbados. This great victory will call upon the people to rededicate themeselves to the upliftment of Barbados and to put God in the midst of everything, which they do. The Barbados Labour Party has failed miserably and as such will implode as the campaign goes on. Their strategy is terrible, relying and innuendo, nonsense and as usual glossy publications. The bought up every sticky on the nation newspaper front page. This is an act of desperation. They are unable to mobilise the people even their own supporters and therefore they are wallowing in mud. A comfortable place to be for some of them in the current circumstances. The people of Barbados will at last relieve themselves of this burden.

Does Thompson “know” something that others are not perceiving? As part of an article about Thompson suffering from “Obama Sickness”, the Barbados Underground has also stated,”Thompson can take encouragement from the victory by Obama last night in the Iowa Caucus. This is a significant victory against the background that Obama has trailed Hillary Clinton in the nomination race to represent the Democrats in the upcoming Presidential Election.”
If this victory by Obama is a “sickness”, “Oh! What A Sickness/Feeling!”
“Obama Sickness” seems to be sweet!

The BLP is surely in a crisis! Clyde was going to be Owen’s coleader and Mia his undisputed Deputy!
Owen severely discredited Clyde in the past ..calling all sorts of names and now he sees him as his heir aparent! We need to talk more about this on the platform.

Months ago, before the election was called, I said David Thompson was playing a cool hand, and playing it right and he will be vindicated for his strategic thinking.
I implore him to keep the ship steady, all hands on deck and rowing together. For those candidates new to the fray of politics, you might never get this opportunity in a life time of politics.
The BLP might try one more desperate salvo, do not be induced, take the high ground on issues, at all cost stay away from gutter politics.
You are the future.

David,
You have them by the ballls!
I passed by the BLP Political meeting in Checker Hall tonight and George Payne was on the platform speaking to a crowd of about twenty to twenty five persons.
The BLP must be going crazy…you have so confused them that they are having another session to introduce the candidated to the public. Now pray tell me…do they expect a fresh set of people to attend the meeting on sat night or do they want Clyde to say it right this time and for Mia not to say anything about Donville because she has no morale authority?

Many Barbadians were looking forward to the televised debate on Law on Order last night on the CBC TV 8. Instead news broke in the afternoon that there is some confusion about the format the debates should follow.
============================================================
One can understand why the General Attorney would not want to clash with Mr Lashley in the type of debating form that he is in as judged from watching the DLP youtube videos.
“Lashes” is coming off a short run and articulately bowling bouncer after bouncer, and yorker after yorker. Then he still slipping in the occasional googly. I don’t think the General Attorney wanted to make a fool of himself on national tv in such a public test match.
Consequently he took the proverbial advice that he who (doesn’t) fight and runs away, lives to fight another day. However, he will undoubtedly have to deal with Lashley and take his lashes when Lashley speaks on Randall’s platform in St Joseph. Time is still longer than twine!
The ploy of the government owned, and BLP controlled CBC to postpone the recording of these debates because the “Democratic Labour Party sought to change the format of the debates to have two by representatives and two by leaders” is both a red herring and a nonsequitur.
If the CBC was privately owned, and depended on its finances by its ratings dependent on the support of the populaces purse, it would have gone ahead and taped the first debate on law and order seeing that this could not have obviated the DLP’s desire to change the format.
What ever the DLP’s position (wrong or right) there had obviously been some agreement for this debate to occur. Lashley seemed to know this, was obviously prepared, and was smart to turn up. His competitor also must have known that he was slated to defend the Government’s position on Law and Order, and ought to have ben ready for the fray.
As the General Attorney, he should have been better prepared than Lashley, since this was his full time job!
Both the CBC and the BLP has insulted the Barbadian populace, who like me, have benefited from the free education post 1961! Certainly indeed “something does not add-up!”

As a supporter of the DLP there are things that are bothering me. Why are you not paying the same atention to the marginal seats or the strong hold seats of the BLP as you are paying The Clyde Mascoll one? Is it the you are so wrapped in defeating him that you have left the others to suffer? Take for e.g the St. Thomas seat, the St. Joseph and all of the rest that are being represented by the not so popular candidates. When have you schedule a meeting for St Thomas? You held all sorts of meetings all around that constituency and none in there. Why. It is high time Mr. Thompson looks after all of them and not leave them to the candidates alone especially first timers.

I am hoping that when the DLP people takes oiver the government that it will deal seriously with all the social problems which the BLP has neglected to deal with. One very important problem is that of immigration. We do not want our lovely country to become a slum or a cesspool. Trust me some of these illegal immigrants are really slack. We do not want people who have not contributed to our sustainability as a country or persons who do not have the same committment to Barbados as Bajans do ruining our country. Trinis and Guyanese running to our country instead of trying to fix problems at home. When they have ruined us, won’t they also run and leave?
I hope the indicipline on public transport will also stop. Pleases ban the music, it is so lewd. Our children travel on those buses. This in the long run will also help indicipline in schools. It is awful on ZRs and minibuses, trust me.
Let’s have harsher penalties for men who have sex with under age girls.
