A Time of Sorrow

The awful vehicular tragedy, which engulfed our nation on Sunday pulling the lives of all Barbados, but more particularly the lives of those who lost love ones and those who are injured into the vortex of pain and anguish have our condolences and sympathy. We at dlpbarbados ask all of our people to visit them with prayers and understanding. We in this party will continue to ask God’s kind hands on all of them.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to all those concerned who were injured or lost love ones in this accident.

While listening to Brass Tacks a short while ago and I learnt that none of the private ambulance services were called or requested to make themselves available for this emergency this was stated by the managing director from one of the private services available to the ministry of health this is quite mind boggling when you also heard from Dr Brian Charles that the last injured passenger was sent to the hospital well after 5.0 pm that evening.

Surely if they had access to the services of a private ambulance service why were they not used to assist in getting the injured to the hospital in a more timely manner, as opposed to leaving them on the ground in the sun while awaiting transport to the hospital.

Why have not heard a word from our loafer Jerome Walcott on this event?

When one looks at the blp blog and not a single mention of sympathy to the families who loss loved ones or injured ones it is a sad case of inept behaviour on their part of callous ways and just downright do not care mentality, they ought to be ashamed of their manner and style.

Well done DLP for having the consideration and thoughtfullness to express your sympathy and to provide a means for your visitors to do likewise well done to you very considerate.

The PM, big chief, short man, whatever you want to call him, did on behalf of his Cabinet and his family, while he was away, beseeched the nation to read Psalm 46 in this time of hurt and trouble. The BLP does not have to do everything in the spin-doctoring way the DLP does. They would sell their mother down a river to get votes. Everyone is saddened. His comments were in the paper and he was on vacation. Everybody does not have access to the internet. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who died and those who are on the mend. Also with those who passed in that accident in Mullins.
